Patients in the Lower Mainland will now be able to access the emergency services of the privately-run Urgent Care Centre in Vancouver using their provincial CareCard rather than their credit card. But only if they are “walking wounded”. The Centre will not accept stretcher cases or indeed, anyone who comes in an ambulance.
