Polls have indicated that neither Canadians nor Americans want their soldiers in Afghanistan. It also increasingly evident that Afghans don't want to be occupied. Yet President Obama has pledged to double U.S. troop support there.
"Inaugurating Peace: Obama and the War in Afghanistan" was the title of a recent forum in Vancouver. Dave Markland spoke about the consequences of the war in Afghanistan on the civilian population.
