Last week CBC disclosed the minutes of a meeting of U.S and Canadian oil executives that took place in Houston a year ago. They revealed that discussions were underway to increase tar sands oil production by 500%. The tar sands are currently the largest source of greenhouse gas emissions in Canada. We speak with Simon Dyer, senior policy analyst at the Pembina Institute.
