The U.S. Public Interest Research Group says that candidates at all levels of government should be eligible for public money if they agree to spending limits and forgo donations from large corporate donors.
But candidates are unwilling to advocate this kind of clean money system when they can raise hundreds of millions of dollars of private money. We speak with Gary Kalman of U.S. PIRG.
