In this episode, you'll get the chance to hear Elyse Weinberg (in her personal life, now known of Cori Bishop) tell her story of her life in the music industry.
You'll hear her narrate her story, mixed with several songs from her 1968 debut album, Elyse, and also tracks from her latest album, In My Own Sweet Time. She nearly "made it" back in '68...but bungled labels and messy management sealed her fate. Elyse ended up in a very happy normal life, selling insurance and pretty much ignoring her music. Until one day in 1999, when she got the call. Someone wanted to reissue her lone album from '68. That call started back on the path to performing and recording.
You'll also hear from Andrew Reiger (from Elf Power), telling his version of the now-infamous story of finding Elyse's old LP in a thrift store, tracking her down, and reissuing it on his Orange Twin record label.
