A woman or any individual should have the right to practice their religion and keep their culture.Every man and woman in a so-called democracy should have the freedom to dress as they like,do to their own body as they like, make their own decisions and choices FREE of governmental or judicial dictatorship.

There is nothing wrong with the hijab, those who have a problem with that are raging xenophobes. If a woman wants to wear a niqab or a burqa, that is her culture and choice, something that should be protected by our Charter of Rights..Culture and choice is the bench mark of a free society but is currently under attack.

A blanket ban on the niqab and burqa is an attack on culture and choice and should be a concern to all Canadians.

BUT...Identifying yourself for a driver's liscence,a medicare card, the police or at the airport is something we ALL have to do.Trust me,most of us hate it but you have to do it sometimes.

I am not up to speed with the p's and q's of this proposed bill but if this bill is applied only to those working as a civil servant,I have no problem with it.

Be grateful you have a great job that most people would kill for...People tend to like to see who they are dealing with.

IF this bill is aimed at civil servants,it is NOT an attack on culture or choice. It just sets the rules that ALL of us must follow when working with the public.

IF this bill goes beyond that,I'll grab a picket myself and join in the protest.

i am so glad to see people in quebec getting active about this bill.  nothing like it has any place in a free democratic society that claims to respect people's right to live how they choose.
