hmm... still, all things considered, in light of all the rocket attacks and suicide bombings, I think the Israelis still have the right to defend themselves. Sometimes they go too far but the Palestinians have to stop the rocket attacks before they can expect a just settlement.
BTW, Harper is clearly secularist and has never brought religious ideas into his politics.
And Apartheid is clearly an anti-semitic notion when applied to the middle east. Besides the fact that palestinians are not even israeli citizens there has been thousands of terror attacks directed against Israeli citizens which clearly justifies checkpoints and blockades and the barrier wall.
I think Mr DaSilva should try to see things from the Israeli point of view.
Oh and by the way, how about Turkey's murderous treatment of the Kurds? When has anyone at Rabble ever complained about Turkey? It's not fair to single out Israel and it borders on anti-semitism.
