Indie Inside: Kev Corbett
Kev Corbett is one of the best of eastern Canada’s bumper crop of fine young songwriters. He likes one fan’s description: Like Leonard Cohen, but with a sense of humour. His lyrics are warm, earnest and hopeful. A serious guitar picker, you can tell he paid his dues playing for years as a pro sideguy. His new record Son of a Rudderless Boat recently hit #3 on the NCRA Folk/Roots chart, and will tour the nation from coast to coast this spring, BY TRAIN! For more info check out kevcorbett.com

As of January 28, these tracks have been released on an EP entitled Twinkle’s Last Stand. All proceeds from its sale are going to the Batay Ouvriye Haiti Solidarity Network.

As a songwriter, Bejar is recognized as having few peers. As a musician, he is like the court jester, waiting in the wings, poking fun at those who take themselves too seriously and skewering those who would celebrate commerce as art.
