Jessica Yee is an activist, known as a self-identified "multiracial Indigenous hip-hop feminist reproductive justice freedom fighter!" A rabble-rouser from way back, Yee started volunteering at Homeward Family Shelter when she was only 12. She then traveled to South Dakota, to work with other reproductive justice fighters to protect women's rights to legal, safe abortion.

Yee is the creator and executive director of the Native Youth Sexual Health Network. The Network is first in North America to be run by and for indigenous youth exploring sexual and reproductive health across the continent. From doing anti-racism work with the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives to acting as a community facilitator for the Highway of Tears Initiative, to acting on the Board of Directors for Maggie's Toronto (sex workers organizing), Yee has spent more than half her life contributing to reproductive and indigenous justice movements in Canada.

She sits on countless other boards and works with multiple grassroots organizations. She has mobilized and inspired individuals and activists alike to take action in their communities and reclaim their bodies and spaces.

An active writer, Yee has contributed to Turtle Island Native News, Racialicious, Shamless Magazine, and even blogs for rabble.ca. She was the editor of "Sex Ed and Youth: Colonization, Communities of Colour, and Sexuality" and published "Feminism for Real" in March 2011.
