The Conservative Party of Canada wanted "ethnic" Canadians to show up in "national folklore costumes" for a photo op to greet Stephen Harper at an event in Toronto this week. The campaign sent out an e-mail to various cultural groups including the Canadian Arab Federation asking: "Do you have any cultural groups that would like to participate by having someone at the event in an ethnic costume?"
Who are ethnic Canadians and how do they dress?
Whether your ethnicity is Chinese, Irish, Arab, Spider-Ninja, Hollywood Movie Star or just Canadian. Come, dressed as you are or as your fantasy creates. This photo-op will be more fun and more colourful than anything the Conservative Party could dream up.
