Annual Gala Dinner - Coming Together for Peace

Thursday, June 1, 2017 - 18:00 to 22:00

The Canadian Voice of Women for Peace (VOW Peace) will be hosting its annual gala on June 1st 2017.

VOW Peace is a network of Canadian women working to help build a world founded on peace and justice for all races, ages, and genders. VOW partners with women’s peace groups around the world and presents collective findings/data to the United Nations' general assembly every year.

This year's gala is focusing on peace and the need to come together to make a change in the world. It is not a job that can be done alone, it takes all of us - young and old.

The event will be taking place at the Great Hall located inside Hart House; doors will open at 5PM and refreshments will be served at 5:30PM. Moreover, there will be a sit-down dinner and outstanding entertainment throughout the night.

Entertainment by  Alisa Gayle - Pianist and Maryem Hassan TollarRoula Said and Naghmeh Farahmand

Thank you for reading this story...

More people are reading rabble.ca than ever and unlike many news organizations, we have never put up a paywall – at rabble we’ve always believed in making our reporting and analysis free to all. But media isn’t free to produce. rabble’s total budget is likely less than what big corporate media spend on photocopying (we kid you not!) and we do not have any major foundation, sponsor or angel investor. Our only supporters are people and organizations -- like you. This is why we need your help.

If everyone who visits rabble and likes it chipped in a couple of dollars per month, our future would be much more secure and we could do much more: like the things our readers tell us they want to see more of: more staff reporters and more work to complete the upgrade of our website.

We’re asking if you could make a donation, right now, to set rabble on solid footing in 2017.
