Beit Zatoun is profoundly grateful to CASSAVA LATIN RHYTHMS for donating the entire performance to benefit Beit Zatoun in recognition of the Palestinian influence in Latin America.
Toronto-based CASSAVA performs music to reflect the colour and flavor of the many Latin styles including Salsa, Cha cha-cha and Bolero from Cuba, Bossa Nova and Samba from Brazil, Cumbia from Colombia, as well as contemporary Latin-Jazz and Fusion.
The band's original compositions by Rodrigo Chavez have been heard on CBC Radio and Radio Canada. They have also broadcast with choirs such as Orpheus, Cantores Celestes, Jubilate Singers and Bell Arte.
