The population of Ontario is become more diverse.  By 2011 most new entrants to the labour force will be peoples of colour and aboriginal peoples.  Yet in percentage terms, fewer and fewer peoples of colour and aboriginal peoples are joining unions.  To bring about a deeper understanding between unions and communities, ant to promote social and economic justice for ALL workers, the OFL and the Colour of Poverty  Campaign will host a one day forum bringing unionists and activists from communities of colour together to develop a common action plan which will promote "green jobs" in an equitable society and sustainable economy while strenghtening the organized labour sector.

Speakers include Fred Redmond, International Vice President (Human Affairs), United Steelworkers, Uzma Shakir, Atkinson Economic Justice Fellow and others
