Gaza Ceasefire: next steps in building solidarity with Palestine
7:00 PM
For 23 days, Israel attacked Gaza from land, sea and air resulting in over 1300 dead and 5100 injured. These attacks ended with a unilateral ceasefire declared by Israel on January 18th. It is imperative to understand this ceasefire in light of similar Israeli 'peace initiatives' such as the 2005 'disengagement' which resulted in the siege of Gaza and periodic massacres.
Now that Gaza is no longer in the headlines of mainstream media, how do we continue to mobilize against the continuing imprisonment and oppression of the people of Gaza?
Join us for a public forum to discuss the short and long term implications and consequences of the ceasefire. Learn how to get involved with students, faculty and labour sectors across Toronto in mobilizing against the normalization of Israeli Apartheid and building the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement.
