Anna Jover – Common Thread Community Chorus
TORONTO, ON – Throw off the winter blues and get ready to welcome the coming spring by attending an afternoon of craft-making, fundraising, and musical entertaining.
Hands Together is a joint benefit for local non-profits Common Thread Community Chorus and Rainbow Songs Foundation.
Common Thread Community Chorus is a 70-voice choir that sings for social justice and believes that it can change the world one song at a time. Since 1999, the choir has performed countless repertoires representing a diversity of cultural and linguistic heritages found throughout the world. The choir’s performances always succeed in inspiring and moving the audience to sing along.
Rainbow Songs Foundation provides interactive music programs to families with young children staying in emergency short and long-term shelters in the Greater Toronto Area. The goal of the organization is to make music accessible to families who would not otherwise be able to afford music lessons. The organization strongly believes that music can make a positive impact in the lives of children and youth.
To ensure that both organizations can continue to make a positive impact locally and globally, the two have joined their “hands together” to present a Sunday event featuring a host of fun and creative activities that includes a silent auction with items donated by community members and applause-worthy performances by Common Thread Community Chorus, Common Thread Kids, and Rainbow Songs Foundation Teachers.
Silent Auction items will be available for early viewing from February 28 onward at www.commonthreadchorus.ca
So come one, come all! Do not miss this fabulous show that is sure to be a treat for all ages!

Thank you for reading this story...
More people are reading rabble.ca than ever and unlike many news organizations, we have never put up a paywall – at rabble we’ve always believed in making our reporting and analysis free to all. But media isn’t free to produce. rabble’s total budget is likely less than what big corporate media spend on photocopying (we kid you not!) and we do not have any major foundation, sponsor or angel investor. Our only supporters are people and organizations -- like you. This is why we need your help.
If everyone who visits rabble and likes it chipped in a couple of dollars per month, our future would be much more secure and we could do much more: like the things our readers tell us they want to see more of: more staff reporters and more work to complete the upgrade of our website.
We’re asking if you could make a donation, right now, to set rabble on solid footing in 2017.
