Amnesty International is offering a chance for young people to learn about human rights issues and how to organize their friends to take action in a series of week-long day-camps. Designed for teens aged 13 to 17, the Human Rights Leadership for Youth program will feature a variety of workshops, discussions, films, and guest speakers on local and global human rights. Each session will challenge participants to consider how they can positively influence and organize their peers, schools, and communities. Two camps are being run in Vancouver: July 13 to 17 and July 20 to 24, and registration is $120 although a pay-what-you-can option is available.
