Ottawa's 10th Youth Action Gathering

Are you interested in making a positive change in your community? Are you seeking for a powerful training opportunity to learn about how to create an environmentally and socially just society? YOU are invited to Ottawa's 10th YOUTH ACTION GATHERING (YAG), a truly eco-responsible, skill-building, action-oriented and fun summer experience!

The YAG is a five-day camp for youth between the ages of 14-19. There you get to explore different venues for community leadership and how to take action on social/environmental injustices. While discovering our role in the activism scope, we can have fun through interactive workshops like yoga, sprouting, vegan cooking, alternative energy and inclusive discussions on topics such as green washing and anti-oppression.

Contact us today if you can participate! You can register online, drop us a line at ottawa.yag@syc-cjs.org or give us a call at (613) 241 1615 for a registration form and more information. Also, keep checking the website, www.syc-cjs.org or the Sierra Youth Coalition Facebook group for more updates. See you there!

Thank you for reading this story...

More people are reading rabble.ca than ever and unlike many news organizations, we have never put up a paywall – at rabble we’ve always believed in making our reporting and analysis free to all. But media isn’t free to produce. rabble’s total budget is likely less than what big corporate media spend on photocopying (we kid you not!) and we do not have any major foundation, sponsor or angel investor. Our only supporters are people and organizations -- like you. This is why we need your help.

If everyone who visits rabble and likes it chipped in a couple of dollars per month, our future would be much more secure and we could do much more: like the things our readers tell us they want to see more of: more staff reporters and more work to complete the upgrade of our website.

We’re asking if you could make a donation, right now, to set rabble on solid footing in 2017.
