Play Chthonics presents Vancouver and Montreal writers Nikki Reimer and Gail Scott. Join us for an evening of poetry, prose fiction and dialogue.

Nikki Reimer, poet, curator and artist, is author of [sic] (Frontenac House, 2010) and fist things first (Wrinkle Press Chapbook, 2009 Kitty on Vancouverisawesome.com.) and editor of Van City Her poetry and artwork has appeared or is forthcoming in The Capilano Review, Dandelion, Poetry is Dead, W 2010, West Coast Line, Matrix, Front, Prism International, Uppercase Magazine and BafterC. She works as an administrator and lives online at nikkireimer.com.

Gail Scott’s new novel, The Obituary, is a kind of ghost story, set in a Montréal triplex and recounted by a narrator with three voices and by certain dead ancestors (Coach House, 2010). Scott’s other novels include My Paris, about a sad diarist in conversation with Walter Benjamin in contemporary Paris, translated into French by GG laureate Julie Mazzierie (2010), Main Brides and Heroine. Spare Parts Plus 2 is a collection of stories and manifestoes. She teaches Creative Writing at Université de Montréal.
