Violence Against Women comes in many different forms.
In honour of December 6th - the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, this event is:
- For the women who notice unviersity policies and structures that reinforce patriarchy and sexism in society
- For the women who notice the lack of representation in male-dominated programs
- For the women who feel like her opinion is less valuable than his - For the women who also experience, racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism and classism
- For the women who are fighting to have her issues, heard, recognized and acknowledged.
Join us for a panel discussion on the diverse ways that women in post-secondary education are still very actively fighting against institutionalized patriarchy and the sexist cultures that are sadly so omnipresent in academic programs.
All students and community members of all gender identities welcome!
