Are Ottawa women able to grow their own fresh vegetables for their dinner table? Does it take robbing the piggybank just to get the laundry done? Are there any community programs out there not well known that can help make life easier for women or their children?
The Women's Events Network (WEN), is holding its annual celebration for International Womens' Day this year on Sunday March 7th with a show and information fair - an event that will suggest some solutions for daily life challenges by offering access to valuable community resources, entertainment and refreshments!
Admission is free.
By providing a space for Ottawa community grassroots services to share their solutions to everyday life hurdles, the WEN hopes to enable women better access to these valuable resources.
In order to ensure organizations are not excluded due to monetary concerns, we are also asking for donations of $10.00 to cover the cost of a table for 1 of our community groups. WEN does not receive any monetary contributions outside of these sponsorships and would greatly appreciate your support. If you or your organization is able to, please consider sponsoring more than one table.
