A bit more about the two productions:
A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant, and A Prayer:
Author, playwright and performer Eve Ensler (Author/creator of the Vagina Monologues) hosts a collection of new, personal and often powerful essays by celebrities, literati and feminist luminaries. Ensler looks to these figures jolt readers out of passivity and into the thick of the issue. These monologues are inspired, funny, angry, heartfelt, tragic, and beautiful. But above all, together they create a true and profound portrait of this issue's effect on every one of us.
Featuring writings by Mark Matousek • Susan Miller • Kathy Najimy • Howard Zinn • Christine House • Nicholas D. Kristof • Eve Ensler • Alice Walker
The Vagina Monologues:
The award-winning play is based on V-Day Founder/playwright Eve Ensler's interviews with more than 200 women. With humor and grace the piece celebrates women's sexuality and strength.
