We will gather at Orioles Community Club (corner of St. Matthew’s Ave. and Burnell St.) at 7 p.m. on September 17. All people are welcome to attend!
Take Back the Night is an annual event held to raise awareness about violence against women and to reclaim the streets as safe for all. This year’s march is being held to address the issues of domestic violence, violence against sex-trade workers, and the ongoing crisis of missing and murdered Aboriginal women.
Refreshments will be served after the march and Orioles is a wheelchair-accessible site. Childcare bursaries are available (children are also welcome to attend) and bus tickets are available as well. Please contact Katie at 786-9788 if you would like more information.
