How important are Toronto's inner and outer suburbs to current struggles against austerity measures and cutbacks to public services? Are suburban communities the most logical place to launch resistance? What types of innovative activism is taking place in suburban communities? Does the growing income gap between the downtown core and the inner suburbs challenge solidarity among fightback groups? Is there a disconnect between activist groups largely based in the suburbs and those centred in downtown Toronto?
What can we do to build solidarity throughout the entire GTA? These and other questions will be discussed at the next GTWA coffeehouse on June 10th.
