Beit Zatoun is hosting World Fair Trade Day which falls on the day before Mother's Day - surprise! Guaranteed - you will find something for your Mom and/or yourself.

The fair is organized by Faces of Fair Trade, a collection of small, independent vendors bring you delightful fairly traded crafts from around the world. Types of items available:

Silk purses from Cambodia, Finger puppet sets from Bolivia, African jewelry and artifacts, Mexican dresses, Baskets from Rwanda, Silver jewelry from Thailand, Crafts from India and Columbia, Olive oil and other items from Palestine. Also participating: Ten Thousand Villages & The YWCA International Boutique

Faces of Fair Trade is a group of socially-concerned individuals who support low-income artisans around the world by purchasing and selling their crafts. Each works as an independent entrepreneur supporting fair trade values and maintains a direct trading relationship with the artisans. Faces of Fair Trade makes it easy for consumers to make ethical purchases creating "caravans" or small fair trade marketplaces in and around Toronto, especially around key dates.
