In 2012, Cultural Survival celebrated their 40-year anniversary. Their goal throughout these four decades has been to partner with “Indigenous communities around the world to defend their lands, languages and cultures.”

Cultural Survival conducts letter writing campaigns and other similar advocacy efforts, highlighting these 3-minute-style actions on their “Take Action” page. They also profile recent campaigns and projects, share news and information, and offer additional resources for Indigenous peoples or supporters, including toolkits on a variety of topics.

Other Cultural Survival efforts:

-Publications like a monthly magazine

-Global programs to support Indigenous learning, language, activism, and businesses

-Cultural bazaars to celebrate and share Indigenous culture and provide a place for the sale of artisanal goods and a wage for artisans
