The Comprehensive Economic Trade Agreement between Canada and the EU, or CETA for short, is a free trade agreement being negotiated between the European Union and Canada.

The potential impact of the final agreement on such diverse areas as intellectual property, supply management and government procurement have all been debated.  Municipalities and school boards have been particularly vocal in expressing concerns that CETA could alter local decision making and procurement processes.
