One of those things CBC radio does so well. An interview with author Alison Prince, this morning, on the centennial of the publication of Kenneth Grahame's [i]The Wind in the Willows[/i]
This biography of Grahame is entitled, [i]An Innocent in the Wild Wood.[/i]
A pastoral England that, for many, would not have existed, but the dreams of "simply messing about in boats" that Grahame brought with his delightful animal characters, for more than a few, would have provided an escape.
"There is nothing- absolutely nothing-half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats."
