Has anti-poverty activism ever been one of the main issues listed on rabble? Could it be again?
Yes, it has, but I think you have to be more specific. Are you referring to campaigns for social housing or the protection of tenants' rights, campaigns to raise welfare, pension, workers' compensation or other rates? Or police and other authorities targeting homeless or visibly poor people?
You will find examples of all of these, but you have to be more specific in searches. Even searching "poverty" or "poor" should give you some hits.
Are you involved in such struggles or campaigns?
Thanks for the info. I have contributed some ideas to anti-poverty or anti-homelessness conferences. Many Canadians are struggling with these issues I think.
Many Canadians and many other people even in the most prosperous industrialised societies, as income inequality has been growing and there has been a push to gut social programmes.
