This report is bogus. In regions of the world where they consume very high levels of cocoanut oil, the heart attack rates are extremely low.
it is when you include the western diet into these regions that are high in sugar and highly processed grains that you see an increase in heart attacks.

if your doctor tells you to stay away from cocoanut oil then listen to your doctor. If you are worried because your cholesterol levels are high then avoid it if you feel safer that way.
But to demonize an oil that people have consumed on a regular basis from the very beginning of human existsnce is a bit over the top IMO.
