Vancouver - Ending Violence Against Women could be a Walk in the Park!

It's that time of year again! Vancouver Rape Relief and Women's Shelter is hosting our annual 31st Walk for Rape Relief. So, it's time to dust off those running shoes and join us Sunday, May 31 at Ceperley Park.

We had so much fun last year!

Walking around the sea wall in beautiful Stanley Park; enjoying the gourmet and garbage-free picnic; local entertainment among friends and family. And! we helped to raise over $35,000 to end violence against women. It's a great way to spend a day.

All pledges go directly towards keeping Vancouver Rape Relief and Women's Shelter open. This allows us to offer a number of free services to women and their children escaping violence, including: 24-hour rape crisis line, transition house, advocacy, legal clinic and support groups.

Pledge sheets will soon be available online at http://www.rapereliefshelter.bc.ca/walkathon/index.html

Give us a call at 604.872.8212 to let us know that you are coming! We have free childcare available, a surplus of fun, an excess of sunshine (or rain - it's Vancouver!), and a chance for you to speak out against violence against women!
