A presidential farce: Trump is actually working for Hitlery

Like so many others I have been utterly perplexed and alarmed by the totally insane three ring circus/ Gong Show that is ongoing south of the Canada/ US border.

Finally, I have figured it out! Trump is actually working for Hitlery Clinton. The reason being the inestimable Ms. Clinton has so many political liabilities and corruptions she could never win against a semi-sane and somewhat sensible Republican candidate (if there is such a personage); a totally insane one had to be created. Trump is the fall guy, the willing volunteer, the black beast, willing to be so dangerous, so outrageous, he makes Hitlery look like Mary Poppins.

Now if you think this is an unlikely scenario, bear in mind that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton golf together.  Some of the world’s most earth-shattering decisions are made over the game of golf. We cannot rule out the possibility, and the conspicuous likelihood, Bill, and Donald cooked a deal,-Donald would run for the presidency. As the absolute buffoon, he  makes Hitlery look good and  The Peoples forget all the reasons she should not be president, and that she should really be in jail.

Donald is doing Bill a huge favor! If he can deliver the presidency for Hitlery, Bill gets forgiveness for all his philandering escapades.  He saves Bill’s marriage, gets the White House for Hitlery and the two old boys can go back to playing more golf.

You see folks, Donald Trump is, in the lingo of politics, a red herring- a diversion to throw the hound dogs of accountability off the track of holding  Hitlery Clinton accountable.  His job is to stink like a rotten fish and make Hitlery smell like a fresh sea breeze on a hot summer’s eve.

In other words, Bill and Donald are making a silk purse out of sow’s ear so they can get back to golf and chasing women.

iyraste1313

May I suggest another scenario?

That the election may never happen! If Clinton is forced to resign fro her mental health condition, recognizing the tyrannical nature of Trump? The demand will be to postponement!

Today America’s mainstream media is doing an about face on Hillary Clinton for president. The LA Times, the Boston Globe, even CNBC seem to be parlaying for a potential Clinton meltdown. Health issues, the ongoing Clinton Foundation revelations, Clinton’s role in Arab Spring and the current west versus east crises, no candidate in the history of the United States has had such controversy. The Democratic National Convention highjacked? If Nixon had had such, he’d have been hanged by his neck on the White House lawn. Trump, no matter how blasphemous, is a lamb compared to the worst Clinton Americans can imagine. And billionaires cannot afford to be very wrong, very often.

Trump, no matter how blasphemous, is a lamb compared to the worst Clinton Americans can imagine.

I heard a very Democrat-leaning American who very much supports Obama say that rather than vote for Clinton they would instead vote for Trump.

I agree that Trump / Clinton(s) are in the same billionaire's club.  Clinton offers a more pro-billiionaire, more Orwellian and more war torn world.  The Republicans that lost to Trump were only too eager to compete on how fast they would plunge the US into more war.  Trump is unpredictable.

Ms Rodham-Clinton is a war hawk and a spokesperson for the .000001% But could we please lay off the term "Hitlery"?

alan smithee alan smithee's picture

If Hillary is 'Hitlery' what does that make the raging orangutan? I hate Shillary but 'Hitlery'? Too Breitbart for my tastes.

Mr. Magoo

I propose "Hillary Hussein Clinton" -- hey, it almost worked against Obama, right?

Quote:

Nice of the RNC to go along with it.  I"m sure that all of Trump's delegates were in on it too, yes?  Or else how did running to be a total failure (for his golf buddy and his wife) end up so gosh darn successful?

lagatta

Shillary is a bit stupid, but it is not in the same league as "Shrillary" (gross sexism) or "Hitlery" (ridiculous incomprehension of history).

I don't mind saying that she is a corporate shill; there is nothing sexist about that, most shills have been males. But the stupid puns that aren't even witty...

Mr. Magoo

The problem with puns is you have to play the hand you're dealt.  What rhymes with, or riffs off of, "Hillary"?

- Killary

- Shillary

- Hitlery

- Billary

- Millary

- Pillory

- Sillory

We can see how those last four have no legs.  Well, *maybe* Pillory, in some kind of law-and-order (or Big Pharma) context.

But I remember when the Liberals were a.k.a. "the Fiberals" (Ok, I get it) or the "LIEberals" (same joke) and then they were the "Libranos" (huh, what?  Oh, you mean people who sing in a high key?  No?  It's a reference to some American television show about organized crime or something? ).

But yes, ho hum.  Har har.  LOLZ lolz.

As much as these are offensive, it is easy to have mixed feelings about them from a communications point of view. They serve to tell you a great deal about the speaker and the source of the story.

To me any of these "cute" puns serve to explain the source of the comment in the propaganda storm and the closed minded hatred of the speaker -- in other words they serve to tell you that nothing this person says has any value.

In this sense it is easier to manage comments from people who use terms like this -- they don't require research and can be disregarded without any investment in time. Those who refrain from these might possibly waste more of my time before I can catogorize them.

As nasty as they are -- they have a communications value.

I disagree, Trump really wants to be president.

I think I and others might give your ideas more credence if you did not refer to Ms. Clinton as "Hitlery".

Shillary is a proper assessment. A war hawk and a corporate shill. The Republican's Democrat. Because the person in question is female does not shield them from insults -- exactly like their male colleagues. You run for public office, you need a thick skin. With power comes contempt. That's usually how the story goes.

If I can call Trump an orangutan,I can call Hillary a shill.

Do you have any Trump puns to share?

Unlike all the ham handed conspiracist crap, it is actually well written.

As a cat person, my favourite work by Garrison Keillor is this song, but that article is quite good. Steve M. has a few minor disagreements, though. I am inclined to agree with Steve.

6079_Smith_W

Yeah, I'd agree with that assessment too.

And I'd add that contrary to the punchline, I don't think he loves them at all.

No need for puns describing Donald Drumpf. He's every vile and disgusting name people choose to call him. He's dull-minded and vapid and listens to anything whispered in his ear which, unfortunately, is very far-right authoritarian white nationalism.

He makes me question evolution. He's a piece of shit. No pun necessary.

If only someone had whispered far-left multicultualist globalism in his ear Frown

As an aside, I don't understand the Drumpf. I always try to imagine if the shoe was on the other foot. If it was someone I liked, would I consider an attack based on someone's grandfather changing their last name an attack with merit? Of course not.

We can accept the right of those with different beliefs to live alongside us. We can accept those with different orientations, different skin pigmentation, different levels of ability, and we accept with open arms those who ask to be recognized in a way different than what one might assume. But a man changes his last name, and a century later we will mock his grandchildren for it.

If I seem sensitive about the issue, know that I've changed my last name - and specifically for my children. Two generations of fuckups before me left my last name a hyphenated mess. I could live with it - hell I have this long - but I don't want to pass that legacy on to my kids. I digress. If you want to attack "Drumpf" with something inconsequential, I recommend commenting on his hands. It's equally meaningless, but at least that one actually seems to bother him.

alan smithee alan smithee's picture

Drumpf is a White Nationalist far right piece of shit. I'm not trying to get him mad. I'm expressing a fact.

Many German-Americans anglicized their surnames, especially around the so-called Great War. And even the town of Berlin in Ontario became Kitchener, obscuring the German culture of the area. When the Marx brothers (and their forebears) began to perform, their "funny" accent was German, as they were of German and Alsatian origins, not Yiddish-speaking ones. Later their funny accent moved Eastwards, copying fellow Jewish New Yorkers from Yiddishland.

And then, there's the Royal Family...

I utterly loathe Trump, but there is no reason to be ashamed of a German-American background.

6079_Smith_W

No kidding.

I met a fellow who came to England as a refugee and was never taught his language because his parents were so ashamed (and probably scared).

And one of the reasons prohibition was finally enacted when it had failed many times before was anti-German and anti-Italian racism (much of it pushed by the KKK). All the major U.S. breweries of course were owned by people of German and eastern European heritage.

Hurtin Albertan

Granpappy Drumpf might have not had a lot of, or even any input on the name that was placed on his naturalization papers.

Lots of people got their names changed from Schwarz to Black, or other Anglicized versions of "Ethnic" last names.  Some people got new last names because the immigration officials couldn't be bothered to write down lengthy hard to spell "Ethnic" names, so Yaroslavichuk becomes Yaro, etc etc.

Anyways, it will be one of the more interesting campaigns of recent years down south, might even go down in history.  My secret hope is that it will put new life into the "third" parties although I really don't see a surprise "third" party win this fall.

Has anyone ever seen Clinton referred to as "Swillery"?  Would a trademark or a copyright be better?

alan smithee alan smithee's picture

It's funny because I doubt anyone here is bashing Germans. I like to call Trump by his real name, much like I make it a point to call Michael Savage,Michael Wiener. It's an act of disrespect and people like the 2 assholes I just mentioned deserve disrespect, deserve to be laughed out of existance and called out for what they are as 'humans'

I picture Trump sporting a new little orange moustache. Listen to his words, watch how he manipulates his moron fan base further and further away from reality. We're talking about some serious cognitive dissonance.

I will continue to call Trump by his real name not to 'shame' him for his German ancestory but to show my disrespect. When was the last time I wrote down Bibi's name other than NetanYAHOO? I'm not going to stop. I have no respect for these people. I wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire.

Timebandit Timebandit's picture

Drumpf isn't his "real" name, it's his grandfather's. And it's not like there's a dearth of other things about him to make fun of.

alan smithee alan smithee's picture

Like being a ferret headed, fish mouthed, orange orangutan? Yeah, that seems to be about right.

Timebandit Timebandit's picture

Exactly.

Mr. Magoo

I don't begrudge anyone something like "Donald Drumpf", really.

But at the same time, it's not worlds different from "Barack Hussein Obama" or "Henrique Capriles Radonski".  Are those their "real" names?  Sure.  Are they the names they choose to use, though?

In some ways it's a bit like referring to a transwoman as "he" despite their wishes.  If that's OK by way of not liking them, or wishing to disrespect them, then let me have the honour of declaring "open season".  You're next, Bradley Manning.

And of course "Shrillary" is just beyond the pale, though hardly unexpected.  Get it?  A "shrill" woman?  LOLZ.

I think a person's name is what they call themselves. Sure I have made fun of names before but it is not something to be proud of.

Last names in particular can easily go from funny to mocking their background.

I did call Trudeau Just-in-Time but I think that is a little different than using an ancestral name to draw a connection.

alan smithee alan smithee's picture

I see. Ridiculing Trump = bad. Ridiculing Trudeau = Good. Making fun of someone's name is 'beyond the pale'and 'stupid' .Could you please make up your fucking minds!?

No, Making fun of the fact that Trudeau got there just in time to save his party is about circumstance more than his parentage.

When making fun of his ancestry is used to connect him to Nazis -- after all that's what the moustache was about -- you really want to say that's equivalent to Just-in-Time?

Really was that so incredibly difficult for you to follow or do you need charts and graphs?

I did not say that this was okay but I said it was different.

alan smithee alan smithee's picture

That's the whole point. Comparig Tin Tin with Trump is ridiculous.

Trump appeals to the very lowest common denominator. He surrounds himself with far right fascists like Breitbart. Is it any wonder why he appeals to white natinalists?

The only thing missing from Donald Trump is a little orange moustache because that's what he is.

Trudeau can be attacked on several levels but he's not a fascist. He's just brainless.

I'm an anti-fascist. Hence,I hate the Right.

Sure. Easy peasy. Ridiculing based on someone's name is juvenile and a criticism lacking in substance, regardless who is being ridiculed. If you can't find anything better to criticise, you're either not working hard enough at it or there isn't much of a criticism to be made.

IOW = silly and pointless.

Sure but the difference about Just-in-Time is that it in itself is not ridicule -- it is based on not prentage but the circumstances that are relevant. That he has arrrived in time to save his party is relevant but that Trump comes from German stock is not.

Really -- you don't see a difference?

Most of the Trudeau name-calling is more like the Trump name calling but not this example.

6079_Smith_W

I only have a problem with playing on politicians' names if there is no actual substance to it, and nothing else behind it - or if it is an unfair dogwhistle.

There is a difference between Tricky Dick and Hitlery, or the Puffster. And I can't remember, was "Slick Willy" before or after the sex scandal? I know that isn't the only meaning, but it sure worked as a double entendre.

On the one hand I can see the point of using Trump's old family name, given how he as used immigrants as a foil. But really, this is all pretty lightweight stuff, whose cheap joke value has to be tempered by the risk of turning into racism or other forms of discrimination.

Personally, I am in the camp of the onus being on those who think a thread should not continue to come up with a good reason why. If I want to talk about fruit loops there is no reason why I should not be free to do so.

Want to start making lists of threads that someone considers invalid? Get in line.

As someone who sees the world through a largely existentialist lens, absurdity is inescapable. ;)

I have??? I welcome you to find them... I'm pretty sure I haven't engaged in any witty pun-play with names any time recently with anyone, let alone Trudeau. You must have me mixed up with someone else.

You'd also be hard pressed to find me defending Trump. (I mean, go ahead and see if you can find something. Everyone needs a hobby, although I'm sure there are more productive ones than this.) I roundly condemn him, it's just that I can manage to do that without reverting to the elementary school level that namecalling amounts to. Drumpf is the furthest apart of an attempted insult or jab than one based on a speech impediment or physical disability (which Donnie actually DID)

Alright...I'll stop calling him Drumpf and call him a fucking asshole (true) vapid and dull minded (true) narcissist (true) megalomaniac (most likely) a sociopath (definitely)

But the hidden irony of this thread is people are getting worked up over insulting Drumpf with a G rated slur, refer to Hillary as Hitlary and then obsess on me for pointing out Drumpf being what he is. A far right fascist white nationalist. Who'd be suited for a little moustache better? Hillary or Drumpf?

I'm not pro-Hillary,nor am I pro-Trudeau or as one of my good friends calls him, 'Tin Tin'. But I read these so-called 'juvenile' and 'lacking in substance' comments all over thgis board and here I am getting attacked for calling out a NAZI. Actually he's worse...He's a blow banging corporate sell out who loves a good Saudi crude oil bukkake as much as his Republican opponent.
