Approximately 80 “private jets were streaming into Boston’s Logan International Airport Tuesday afternoon, officials said, as Mitt Romney’s well-heeled supporters arrived for his post-election party in the Seaport District.”
On the Democracy Now livestream right now, a pundit is talking about the obscene volume of voter supression in Democratically-targeted, Republican-congressed states (i.e. Florida).
The fact that Romney looks like he will only take back 2 seats for the Republicans despite a big increase in popular vote speaks wonders of the Obama get out the vote campaign in key states.
Pundits (apart from Rove) heaping praise on David Plouffe, David Axelrod and the Obama camp for their electoral college behemoth.
Yes, thank you, America, for electing to keep moving forward at least, rather than reverting to that creepier version of yourself that we've just had a little too much of in the last decade.
Does this mean that Americans are now more progressive than Canadians? It sure seems that way.
In spite of all the right-wing pundits attacking Nate Silver it looks like he probably underestimated Obama's electoral college count - we have to wait for Florida's results tomorrow though to be sure.
Montana? They legalized pot for medical purposes. Washington and Colorado just legalized it for recreational use. Also, same sex marriage proponents, after going something like 0 for 36 before 2012, went 5 for 5 tonight.
The anti-prohibition and marriage equality are great, but I was talking about Montana laying down the law that corporations cannot expect to legally get rights that are reserved for people.
I’m hoping for the avalanche effect: Now that two states legalized recreational use I can only hope that other states will soon start doing the same once they see how much revenue these two states are generating from this.
I friend relayed a good point to me last night - that when he calls for people to march on Washington what he really means is that they should be chauffeured there by people who probably voted for Obama.
The election has been cancelled due to lack of interest. This is true, and not a hoax.

The best news so far: Bernie Sanders I-VT first senator to be reelected!
looks like Romney going to win.
Looks like its a flip of the coin in Virginia, NC and Florida. But he has the slight edge in Ohio, the 'fire wall', says CNN and CBS.
This is a done deal for Obama
Paul Ryan has turned out to be a disaster with Obama taking Wisconsin tonite.
but the Dems need a new House Leader, someone who knows how to win it in 2014
So as I suspected Intrade has been all along pro-GOP betting nonsense.
90% vs 8%

but
Nate Silver rides!
Done as dinner. Looking like 319 Obama to 219 Romney.
Huge - and possibly - record turnouts amongst Latino, African American and Union members.

CNN: Obama wins!
Big Bird lives!
Hmm popular vote to romney, electoral to Obama, just like Bush gore lol just reversed
Thank gods
Sweet victory.
Karma perhaps?
Lots of votes still to be counted in California, Oregon and Washington. I think Obama will still win the popular vote.
Just like in Canada it does not matter one iota who wins the popular vote.

The Obama mandate
The president's re-election is a victory for using government in tangible ways to improve people's lives
thank goodness is all I say and Obama better start acting more progressive for this term!

Looks like Obama will win the popular vote by a nose.

How cool would it be if America were to just STFU for a while, retreat into the background, and work on its own problems?
That's my vision for a new America.
Now we will find out if Obama will push to end the Bush tax cuts on the 1% or 2%, and for once push to reward the people who supported him.
Romney refusing to concede - bad, bad, loser, but not surprising coming from a guy who lies just about every time he opens his mouth.
Devestating loss for the Republicans and there will now be a huge fight in their party.

Check out what they did in Montana:
Montana? They legalized pot for medical purposes. Washington and Colorado just legalized it for recreational use. Also, same sex marriage proponents, after going something like 0 for 36 before 2012, went 5 for 5 tonight.
Good news. Hundreds of radio on air Republican talking heads (like Rush Limbaugh) AND STILL Obama pulls it off!!
Was that NOISE Lowell Greens head exploding????
Jesus I hope so!!!

I think people in some of those other states worry too much about the negative impact on their white lightening operations.

I'm thinking with a little brylcreem and extra hold hair spray up the middle, he might fit right in.
