How do people here respond to this. On the one hand this is a national institution on the other it is a cultural issue where Quebec is distinct and there are language issues associated with it. If Quebec had its own version of the CRTC we would ahve a second organization looking at some difficult issues and more potential for experimentation as I am sure they would copy working policies from each other.
I am leaning towards a belief that this could be a good thing for Quebec, for the rest of Canada which would have an additional model to consider, and for the objective of culturally consistent programs. I have not thought this through very much yet as I only saw it today but would like to know how other people would see this.
We don't need 13 different CRTC's. There is no ROC except in the minds of people who live in what used to be called Upper and Lower Cananda. The rest of us are attached to our provinces and territories and celebrate their unique cultures.
