Or, as some would like to call it, "Leave now and never come back!"
Ha ha. I am a fan of Mollum, our spam filter, obviously, although I have been sharing some babblers' frustrations--I had my first post rejected altogether recently and it is not fun. But now that we've had a week with the filter, and some stats returned, we are trying it on for a similar amount of time with just the filter on registration. The stats show that CAPTCHA incidences are indeed going down, despite what it may seem to some babblers who feel singled-out (Apparently CAPTCHA has a thing against the Quebec north shore).
So, thanks for your patience over the past week or so. We'll compare the stats and decide what the next step should be. We're looking forward to future versions of the software so we can fine tune the anti-spam service. Our wonderful tech people have been surveying these threads, so they are aware of the issues some have been having.
