I have been asked by a few people now regarding the liveblogging I did for rabble.ca for the G20 People’s Inquiry and where they can get audio of the testimony.

On November 10, 11 and 12, 2010, the Canadian Civil Liberties Association and the National Union of Public and General Employees invited members of the public to share their stories about what they experienced during the G20 Summit in Toronto in June 2010. The objectives of these public hearings are:

–to educate Canadians on the importance of the relationship between democracy, freedom of expression and freedom of assembly;

–to increase public awareness regarding the impact of the G20 Summit on constitutional rights and freedoms;

–and to promote accountability for the alleged violations of constitutional rights that occurred during the G20 Summit.

On this page, you are able to listen to the testimonies we heard in Toronto and Montreal. These individual stories will help us produce a new report in January 2011, and we hope they will contribute to a greater public understanding of the events that occurred during the G20.
