Fwd: Native Men’s Residence Annual Traditional Pow-Wow is held to recognize National Aboriginal Day, June 21st, the Summer Solstice.

he event is free, open to the public and features traditional dancing, drumming, feasts, giveaways, and children’s activities.

The day starts with the sunrise ceremony held at our 14 Vaughan Road location where an Elder presides over the event.

The participants five thanks to the Creator for the wonderful day where Na-Me-Res is able to celebrate National Aboriginal Day with friends, colleagues and the community!

We have dignitaries from the community, information booths and First Nations crafters from across Ontario.

Traditional food includes vegetarian and meat tacos, and corn soup with bannock. Non-traditional fare includes hamburgers and hot dogs.
