Please support rabble.ca today with a donation.

Are you looking for coverage of democratic movements like Occupy, the Maple Spring and Idle No More? Do you want to hear from seasoned journalists and community organizers? Do you like quality podcasts, and engaging video? Do you like sharing and talking about your ideas?

Well: rabble, rabble, rabble.

We tell the stories of activists, of social movements, of workers, of communities fighting for change. We offer news from around the world and news from your neighbourhood. Since day one almost a dozen years ago, we have supported an active discussion board on the issues of the day, all the while finding the stories and angles that go under-reported.

We only can do this with your support. We believe in democratic access to the media, which is why we have no paywall and no subscription fees. No paywall and no fees though doesn’t mean no bills. In fact it makes paying bills harder. The good news is that a lot of people visit and read rabble, and we believe we can make it with community support. For the price of a pizza, or a few cups of coffee you can make a difference — we have had over 300,000 people visit rabble over the last month — a few dollars from a small percentage of our visitors will make a big difference to us. You can support us on rabble.ca/donate.

You not only make independent media happen, but we will enter you into draws for great prizes like Beacon Bike Lights, Canadian CD music packs, our new rabble.ca tote bag, or even a year’s supply of Zatoun Fair Trade Extra Virgin Olive Oil (six 750ml bottles). Recent winners include H.S of Burnaby, B.C., A.W. from Blackstock, Ont., and J.V. of Tweed, Ont.

Our annual winter donation drive brings in necessary funding to keep rabble.ca going. Any amount makes a difference. $5, $12, $50, $100, $[cost of a subscription to your local paper]. Please donate today. Thanks!
