David P. Ball
David P. Ball is a reporter and photojournalist in Vancouver, on unceded Coast Salish land. His website is www.davidpball.net. On Twitter: @davidpball. Co-winner, with The Vancouver Observer, of the 2012 Canadian Journalism Foundation's award for Excellence in Journalism (small media), and finalist for the Canadian Association of Journalists community news award, David studied professional writing and political science. He followed his passion for independent journalism to the Middle East, where he reported from the 2006 Israel-Lebanon war. A veteran of more than a decade of global justice convergences and movements, David has written and shot for more than 30 publications including The Tyee, Windspeaker, Indian Country Today Media Network, Xtra!, Shameless, Briarpatch, Geez and the Dominion/Media Co-op.
