On January 26, Hamilton 350 is organizing an event against Enbridge’s Line 9 reversal project. This event is in conjunction with 26 actions taking place in Canada and the U.S.
In true Orwellian language, the reversal is being sold to the public as a jobs-creating, low impact, and 'ethical' project. It is none of these things.
Aamjiwnaang has been described as the most toxic place in North America. Activists on this reserve near Sarnia, surrounded by Chemical Valley are taking on the industry’s giants.

In support of 350.org's Day of Action on January 26, we will demonstrate our opposition to the Tar Sands in Toronto and support for a ban on them by City Council.
We debunk racist idle no more coverage, explain settler responsibility in canada, read words or resistance from the Zapatistas, and words of support from the Niagara Animal Defense League, and more!!
Line 9 was built in 1975 to transport imported oil from Montreal to refineries in Sarnia. Enbridge has now applied to Canada's National Energy Board to reverse its direction of flow.
Line 9 is a controversial Enbridge pipeline that we are going to stop from becoming part of the tar sands pipeline network!
