The Conference Board of Canada’s Chief Economist, Pedro Antunes, and the President of OSSTF Harvey Bischof, will launch and discuss a new economic report on education.
The theme of Education Week 2018, Public Education – It’s for Everyone, recognizes a publicly-funded education system is perhaps the province’s most important asset.
On April 13 and 14, the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF/FEESO) will host the international researchED movement at a conference for educators at Mississauga Secondary School.

“It is regrettable that the government, school boards, and other employers still under-appreciate and undervalue the work of early childhood educators and child care workers" said Harvey Bishoff.
Teachers are very concerned about the Ontario government's proposals that could allow agencies funded by corporate interests involved in the development of curriculum in the province's public schools.
Education Week was established by the OSSTF in 1930 to recognize and celebrate the essential role public education plays in the lives of communities all over the province.
