A cause for optimism

Those on the left are understandably pessimistic about the Afghanistan war, the economic outlook, Canada under Harper, or climate change. But there is good reason to be optimic about change.

Why do people seek joie de vivre in local politicians? Because cities are where most of us live. A local pol shouldn't just talk the place up -- she or he should enjoy it.
