Main pagew says there are 702 topics in this thread & over 11000 replies. Am i missing something? There are just a few when i click on the thread.

I'm a US radical neo-socialist & would like to discuss why there is little or no working-class organizing in the US these days & how we can possibly hope to succeed without it.

I've been on other Left forums but they didn't want to do any creative rethinking or self-criticism at all, just complain & repeat the same old stuff that hasn't worked.

The Left seems largely mired in insularity & factionalism & is not examining its history to see what went right & wrong so that we can move forward. Most of the people we claim to represent don't even know we exist.

Would like to recommend the neglected French book THE POLITICAL ILLUSION by Jacques Ellul. Shows why parties no longer work but how mass pressure groups can.

Welcome Danton1797,

Since I am not all that sure what you mean by neo-socialist it is difficult for me to know if you will find here what you are looking for. It seems to me that few want to be classified as 'working- class' these days. I suspect capitalism will self destruct without a creative counter weight. All we have to do is look at the desperation the 'high priests' have in searching for an enemy.

Hi Danton. I'm not sure just where you're seeing those numbers. There may be 703 topics on the "intro and frequently aske questions" forum. To look at all of these from the beginning you would have to set your default to view all topics, rather than just the last 20 days or whatever you have.

[edited to add: oh yeah, those numbers I've been lookin' at them for so long I don't see them anymore, and I always go straight to TAT anyway. ]

welcome and hope you find what you're looking for here... You might have to define radical neo-socialist mind you, a few our conservatives would likely be radical socialists when measured to american standards
