hello ...i have been perusing here for a while and just got the nerve to finally join. i hope i can contribute,im interested in a wide variety of issues. i am a bit nervous sicne im sorta new to the internet (im old at 52 to be learning for the first time) i hope i can contribute positively. bye for now

(Actually, that's not even true. I hardly ever buy lottery tickets except as gifts. I keep dreaming about winning the lottery, but I never buy a ticket!)

the lottery helped but so did a great pension fund through the Onatrio public service...the only really good thing about the ontario public service...i was able to take early retirement and now on top of my pension i can do consulting without having to worry about towing the company line

I started buying lottery tickets a few years ago. So far, bupkus. When I first started I had no idea how it worked, so I checked my numbers, and I'd have 2 matches. I'd look at the graph thinking "what did I win? what did I win? At least a free ticket or something?". No. Sweet fuck all. [img]frown.gif" border="0[/img]
I still buy them every few weeks. What can I say, I'm an eternal optimist.

52 years old? A mere callow youth! Actually I retired some time ago, I just don't plan on informing my employer. Some of my clients are beginning to suspect though.

A friend of mine who used to post here, "Jimmy Brogan" once said that when he retires, and word goes around, that his success will be measured by how many people say "...who was he...?" [img]wink.gif" border="0[/img]
Of course, I think playing the lottery is a waste of time and money. But, I'm in a group at work, not because of the hope of winning, but because of the fear of them winning without me.
