Two years ago in April, two army reservists killed someone. They didn't kill an enemy combatant or a terrorist, and this didn't
happen in Afghanistan or Haiti or Iraq. They attacked and killed a defenceless citizen in Toronto.

Such a disgusting story. You can bet that had they beat another soldier boy to death they wouldn't get to plead manslaughter and be given ten years.

In discussions about games like GTA 4 it would seem that the military is the white elephant in the room, it trains killers to be cold hearted and remorseless. I have yet to see any concerned mothers talk about how we should ban the military though.

In all the talk around this story, I have been puzzled by the lack of attention paid to the heroism of Valerie Valen. She's not a big woman, and she faced down three young guys and got beaten and gay-bashed for it.

And what the hell is with the reduction in sentences because they were drunk? By that rationale, guess we have to stop prosecuting drunk drivers.

Fidel

Sounds like these boys should be offered the next red eye to Taliban country.

Excellent point Sineed.
