pornography and the end of masculinity

Our women's shelter just hosted an evening with Robert Jensen, author of "Getting Off--Pornography and the End of Masculinity".
What a fabulous, clear thinking feminist this man is! I'd urge any who get the chance to hear him or host him to drag as many friends of both sexes out. His conversation is even clearer than his book.
I've always loved men, as a group and as individuals--- but it is sometimes so hard not to damn them all and feel put right off of the breed when the craziness of rape, plunder, war and pillage just keep getting worse.
In my darker moments I've often wondered if the only real good of genetic modification would be to eliminate most testosterone.
Bob Jensen's highly informed and intelligent presentation on hetero porn in north america from a radical feminist perspective, reminded me again that we're all in this together and that men can become good feminist thinkers with the same focus and work that women must always do to become feminists. .

Jensen is, along with Rebecca Whisnant and Gail Dines, part of the Stop Porn Culture organization. They have put together an anti-pornography slide show and are holding a training on how to use it in Boston in three weeks (July 8-11). Friends of mine attended it last summer and say it's awesome in the connections it makes with various feminist and anti-racist issues. There are lots of relevant material on Youtube, from the Stop Porn Culture website: Stop Porn Culture

Check this out: Dominique Bressi is a woman who has committed to run a very grueling race to raise money in order to support hiring an employee at this organization. Please consider supporting her with a small donation... and pass on this message to your network.

crapola.
I tried to make a donation but they had a problem
"verifying" my credit card. Is it because I have a Canadian Credit card and it's a US charity?

I know I've got tonnes 'o credit on my card -so that's not the issue.

Has anyone donated successfully??
