Anti-racist pro-Muslim T-shirts
Excellent, funny and political. What more could one ask for? A variety of colours and sizes? Done!

"My name causes national security alerts. What does yours do?" ROTFL.
There's shirts on stuffed animals too!
The "To veil or not to veil" post is very good.
ETA: The whole site is very good, I now see. Thanks for the link!

RosaL, I had just been looking at the pretty photos of funny-smart t-shirts and now I've read most of the "To Veil or Not to Veil" article and am going to bookmark this as one of my new favourite sites. Kewl!

I guess it's funny, but I've run into cop trouble because of my name. I didn't find that funny.
My brother has a mouse pad with make Chai not war
funniest story he said about the mouse pad is that someone thought it was about a chai latte
Why is that funny?
I kind of liked, "This is what a radical Muslim feminist looks like."
I wish there were T-shirts that good for lapsed Catholics with waspish names.

Yeah, racialized minorities get all the cool lines.

A little rewrite should get you there.
Father, Frisk me I'm Catholic.
Veils are for nuns.
Or a Canadian version for Moslems might say; Really, I'm Canadian not Syrian.
"Transubstantiation is for crackers"?

I don't think it's funny that people get stopped because of their names. I think it's funny that the t-shirt is so pointedly sarcastic about it. Just to clarify!
Your post reminds me of an experience I used to have. Although I don't know what it's like to be racialized, I used to have an Iranian last name while I was married. (Yes, I was a bad feminist and took his name.) I sometimes wondered whether people were shocked when they met me after seeing my resume first. And I would always get people asking me where I "come from" or where my last name "was from".

I hear that quite often, with "What nationality is that?" being the most common question.
When I tell them, I get puzzled looks, as I have fairly Nordic (someone once said I look Irish) features.
Recently I was asked by a work colleague why my great-grandparents came here, since Canada isn't like the Middle East. I couldn't believe he would ask such a question.
I told the guy they came here for the same reasons all the other homesteaders came to the prairies; cheap land and a new start. A fairly distant cousin claimed that my ancestors were freedom fighters and came here to flee the Turks. I don't know about that.
I'm starting to think that I ought to get that T-shirt.
CafePress is one way of getting your tshirt designs out there for sale to the general public. You can't make a big profit because it's expensive for a short run of shirts, but if you want a few just for a joke or maybe a political event, check it out.
CafePress is non-union, however.

Cafй Press would sell its own mother into slavery if the profits were there.

Yep. That's how capitalism works.
Webgear!!! Yay! You're back!!
Um, nice to see you again, Webgear!
But what's up with the big Ch... Crusader theme on your profile?
That Xian Crusader image would make a nice tshirt.
And, speaking of tshirts, I bet that Babble could sell a whole lot of these below. Perfect for political demostrations, press conferences, even quiet fishing trips.

Stargazer
Thank you, it is a pleasure to hear from you. It is also nice to be back from self-imposed exile.
I have spent the last 4 months re-thinking my personal ideology and decide that it was time to come back.
M. Spector
It is also nice to see you.
The crusader theme was created before my disappearance in April. In the spring I was reading many books on the 1st, 2Nd and 3rd crusades and the Knightly orders of Europe.
I have changed the theme.
