Hours later, Dion announced Bedard's resignation.
Though martin had this in another thread on Harper, I think it deserves its own thread, considering the enormity of the words.

So, I guess this riding is pretty much a wash out for the Liberals, and will stay in Bloq hands, with their having to get a new candidate and new signs, ads etc, if they even bother.

Does this give the NDP a chance to make some kind of a showing in this riding?
Also, why the hell did the Liberals nominate this wackjob in the first place? It's not possible that they didn't know he was a FN-hating maniac.
Or is it possible that they figured his mindset was what the voters wanted?

I looked at the riding stats for last election the NDP was 4th. It is a Bloq riding with the Liberals running 3rd.
Even if the Liberal vote was gone, and went solidly to the NDP, we would be behind the CPC by about 2000 votes and be half way to the Nloq voting numbers.
