Palin - Obama "palling around with terrorists"

It might be interesting to make of list of McCain's past associates - like Saddam Hussein, Ferdinand Marcos and other dictators like Somoza - well maybe McCain isn't that old.

Pretty sure this is from the same rally. She appears to be on some sort of role.

"Though I am flattered that Governor Palin has chosen to cite me as a source of wisdom, what I said had nothing to do with politics. This is yet another example of McCain and Palin distorting the truth, and all the more reason to remember that this campaign is not about gender, it is about which candidate has an agenda that will improve the lives of all Americans, including women. The truth is, if you care about the status of women in our society and in our troubled economy, the best choice by far is Obama-Biden."

I also read that a possible next line of smearing is suggesting that the Obama Campaign is being funded by overseas terrorists and trying to directly tie him into the PLO somehow. They've filed a complaint with the FEC the other day about campaign financing and the Right wing Propoganda outlets have been 'suggesting' things along those lines. On Fox last night Hannity did some 'report' which made a bunch of insinuations along those lines and suggested things like 'his roommate at Harvard was Pakistani' and some unknown Saudi person helped him get in and there's questions about 'who' paid for his schooling blah blah.

By the way Jesse Jackson is a former Black Panther. This doesn't seem to phase anyone.

Just look at that statement for a moment. Two weeks ago, John McCain suspended his campaign and trotted back to Washington, claiming he had to help shepherd in the bailout agreement. Two days ago he was bragging about it. Yet here he is saying that the people "claiming credit" for this agreement need to be prosecuted.

The language McCain and Palin are using: "radical," "palling around with terrorists," "willing co-conspirators" is growing more heated by the day. It's language that's compounded by the "dangerous" commercials McCain is running across the country. It's the kind of language that you use in describing an enemy in wartime. It's the kind of language that not only excuses violence, but encourages it. More and more it sounds as if McCain has inhaled the ghost of Joseph McCarthy and is exhaling the fevered rancor of Charles Coughlin.

Fox news big scream of the day comes from Jerome Corsi who claims to have emails that prove that Obama has been conspiring with Keyan Rali Odinga and has proof that he is actually Muslim as well as supports the implementation of Sharia law in Kenya.
You don't have to be dense to see that the rhetoric that they are using implies that Obama secretly support that in the US as well.

It's totally and completely nuts. I've been around the internet a lot this am and the Wingers (that's the only word I can think of to describe them are going absolutely bonkers and the only way I can describe it is just total and complete rage)

The other big 'story' is accusation of massive voter fraud where the numbers keep getting escalated, lastest figure...5 million.

They're also trying to blame Obama for the markets falling, suggesting that the traders on Wall Street are 'fearful' of Obama being president.

There's at least a dozen of other crazy smears floating around and now it seems that the anger is growing because the 'liberal' news isn't covering them. The Fox people seem to be really pushing that one.

Meanwhile the polls today show Obama still trending up and some pretty major ones show even greater gains in what may now be formally red states.

Moderate Republican leaders appear to be jumping ship and pulling back from McCain.

I swear, it's ridiculous how political conservatives in the USA have used a war that Nixon purposely prolonged for four more years (read the Trial of Henry Kissinger for proof that Nixon and his nasty little creature of a hatchet man conspired with the South Vietnamese to destroy negotiations that would have ended the Vietnam war in 1968), and which was an all-round failure in US cultural history, as a litmus test to destroy their opponents.
