It wasn't just a Trade Show it was a shootin' show as well people were offered the chance to shoot @ cars and pumpkins!
Machine guns-and that thing is more correctly called a machine pistol-kick up a lot when fired a person has to aim low/compensate to hit anything.
There's no way an 8 year old is strong enough to hold a 2 kg Uzi straight when it's being fired well neither could a lot of adults.

The NRA are fairly big on gun safety so I doubt they'd agree that 8-year olds should be firing Uzis. They just don't like the government requiring that 8 year-olds don't fire Uzis. [img]biggrin.gif" border="0[/img]

In my fire range (of ten soldiers), one of the soldiers was knocked off to the side by not being physically prepared to know how to deal with the backlash - a very common event for first time shooters . The thought of an 8 year old not only handling an Uzi - which is crazy enough, but an Uzii on an Automatic setting is criminal no less."

Oh! come on... The father will remain well protected from any sanction - let alone jail - because, in a patriarchy, he is either entitled to his child's life (traditional Abraham model), or deemed to suffer more than anyone from whatever harm comes to the child, even through his own criminal negligence (current sensitive dad model).
Also father-son-gun relationships are pretty near sacred.

A ***LOADED*** Uzi on automatic.
To the person who claimed the NRA is all for "gun safety"--prove to me that dear dad and the arms dealer were NOT members of the NRA.
Since when does the NRA demand that potential members attend and complete a course for a firearms safety certificate BEFORE receiving membership?
'Nuff said.
Criminal negligence causing death by both father and gun seller.
Dad's guilt isn't enough. Some mother and a whole family/community have lost a child.
It's time the ADULTS took responsibility for letting children play with deadly weapons. Weapons are not toys.
