Not not at all much much older.

Often identified as a Ukrainian song here in Canada it's an old Slavic folk chesnut/gem/warhorse.

The title can be spelled a number of differnt ways.

This is going viral among Quebec women these days: "I peed in my pants laughing" and "He is SO much like X or Y I have known..."

Martin, that is the funniest thing ever! I can't believe those are real voicemails - seriously, are they? That's awful! (I am suspicious though - the guy doesn't seem to have any verbal tics like "um" or "uh" which might indicate a script.)

Although I have had a couple of different friends play voicemails for me in the past that they've received from guys, which almost rivaled that one in nerve and ego, so you never know!

martin dufresne

Exactly.
I tried to locate evidence of a hoax on the Web, but this seems legitimate, from San Francisco, and has been making the rounds since late June.

From www.DimitriTheStud.com (The Official Site), including the transcript - there *are* a few umms in there but hey, with that amount of confidence, there can't be too many!...

About Dimitri

Dimitri The Stud’s core is stemmed from two authentic voicemail messages that were sent to a woman named Olga from a Greek stud that approached her outside of a club one night. The stud in question – Dimitri. As Olga and her girlfriends awaited taxi home, Dimitri, bolting from the door of the club in a hurry to “get the heck out of there,” was stopped at the vision of Olga and without hesitation, he walked up to her. Without acknowledging that her girlfriends even existed on the same planet as them, The Stud told Olga that she was extremely beautiful. He called her elegant. And after a few more sly adjectives, he was somehow able to coax a card from dear Olga with her number on it, before he flew away.

Soon after, Dimitri called Olga. Twice. Both times, Olga didn’t pick up and she allowed the calls to go to her voicemail. Utterly amazed and not quite believing her ears, she quickly shared the phone messages with her girlfriends and soon the calls were recorded and uploaded onto the worldwide web only to be further enhanced by Eric Anderson’s lip-synched enactments and countless other postings by others of video montages and skits ala Dimitri.

Dimiti the Stud, in a month’s time, has become an internet sensation and the DTS videos have received tens of thousands of hits. And it’s just the beginning. So stay tuned and spread the word of the glorious douche-bag that is Dimitri The Stud.

We welcome your comments and fan photos…

…especially if it’s Olga that’s reading this.

UPDATE:

Yeah, hi there again, my name is Dimitri. I just quickly want to tell you a little more about me and then get the heck out of here.

In any event, I figure I better leave a more detailed message, umm, and explain why I’m such a catch. I am single; I have no trouble meeting women. I mean woman approach me 6, 7 times a day, but I’m very particular about what I like. I can’t take my eyes off of elegant women, and most girlfriends are very jealous. Even if they say they aren’t, they are envious of the fact that, uh, I approached elegant ones and that I am very taken by them. Like I said, elegant women are very rare, I’m Greek, and I’m very particular about what I like. I’m currently working on a movie script, so I’m pretty much around all the time, doing that, so feel free to email me at [email protected], and when you do, we’ll get together for coffee and chat, and uh, let the romance begin. Most elegant women are very taken aback by my approach, and I hope that you’re not timid, because I don’t really date timid women, because I’m a very direct, very passionate, very assertive man, and I want a woman who’s very independent and strong, so ah. Anyway, we’ll talk about that, but I just wanted to formally introduce myself, now I have. I leave the ball in your court to appreciate my website and email me as soon as you have the courage to, ok?

Talk to you soon, bye.

Dimitri

Here’s the actual email:

Subject: get excited

Okay guys here is the info on this voicemail. One of my friend’s from work and her friend were out one night in the SF Marina district and were hanging outside of the bars trying to find a cab. One of the girl’s, Olga ends up meeting this guy Dimitri and they talk for at the most 2 minutes. She hands him her business card and says call me.

Well attached is the actual voicemail that this guy left her. Wait till you hear it you will be laughing so hard you’ll fall out of your chair.
